Why we could be a match

Florian Werner is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the watch, fashion, and lifestyle industries. Raised in Germany’s industrial heartland, he learned early on that creativity and rolling up your sleeves must go hand in hand to deliver outstanding results.

A former top-level athlete and multiple-time German canoe champion, Florian has an unshakable drive for performance — and knows that no victory is possible without a strong team.

After graduating from HEC Lausanne, he began his career at Philip Morris, mastering the art of optimizing marketing and sales in challenging, contracting markets. He then joined the Swatch Group as Area Sales Manager for Calvin Klein, where he successfully launched the brand in Eastern Europe and Latin America while expanding its presence in DACH and the UK. Pioneering the brand’s entry into jewelry, he became Global Vice President of Sales and drove strong international growth.

Following a sabbatical spent windsurfing across Europe and North Africa in a van, Florian co-founded Bilbies in the Netherlands — organizing training camps for children — while consulting for lifestyle brands such as Scotch & Soda, Click-Step, and Kruiderij Rosemarijn.

He then took on building the EMEA business for the American Movado Group, tripling sales for the Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, and Juicy Couture watch & jewelry brands in just seven years, despite currency headwinds and multiple global crises. Later, he led the Hugo Boss watch & jewelry category for over a decade, achieving a 7% CAGR, driving digital transformation, and cementing its position as a global top player.

Florian speaks German, English, French, Dutch, and Spanish, and holds a certificate in Digital Transformation from Cambridge University.
